In class on Monday, we worked on a survival activity. We were stranded in the desert with our team and we had to figure out what items were most important to us. The individual scores for our team were a lot better than the group score. I think this is because some people on our team didn't care which order the items were placed in. Some of the members didn't say anything about any of the items or the order we placed them in. We had some people in our group that had logical explination for why they marked certain items as important, but they didn't tell the group. We also had a lot of people who were persistent in thinking they were correct, which caused conflict in the group. Overall, I feel that our group lacks group cohesiveness, and it make it difficult to work together on activities like this one. What should we do to improve the group cohesivness? Our leader is trying to get us all together, but everyone seems too busy to get together. It falls on each person individually, and there are some people not willing to put forth the effort to get to know the other members.
